The clerk of the Ikeja Local Government, Shamsideen Abiodun Omotayo, has been kidnapped. According to reports, he was abducted by unknown gunmen at Imota in Ikorodu while on his way to work today August 2nd.
Confirming his abduction, the spokesperson of the local council secretariat, Bello Onilegbale, says Omotayo’s kidnappers have contacted the council’s Head of Administration, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka and are demanding N20 million as a ransom for his release. He said the matter has been reported to the police.
