Bayern did respond and came close through Javi Martinez in the first half but they were then exposed on the break as Cavani doubled the French side's advantage with a stunning strike after receiving a pass from Mbappe in the 31st minute.

Although Neymar did not immediately celebrate with the Uruguayan, instead of doing so with Kylian Mbappe, he eventually hugged Cavani.

Some minutes later, Neymar then set up Cavani for a chance which he missed. However, the striker high-fived to his teammate which clearly signalled that the feud is over, 2-0 it ended after halftime in PSG's favour. In the second half, Bayern came close to getting themselves back into the game when Martinez rose at the back post to head Kimmich's corner towards the net but Alves was there on the line to clear the ball away.

Mbappe again with the assist as the youngster ran down the right flank and used his skill to beat Alaba before taking a shot that was blocked by Martinez, but Neymar pounced on the rebound to fire into the net.

It was a night not to remember for Bayern Munich as Vidal saw a goal chalked off for offside in the 67th minute. With the victory, PSG has recorded six points from two games to go top in Group B.
