Eden Michael Hazard is a famous Belgian professional footballer. In addition to representing Belgium national team, he earned his fame by playing for Chelsea.


1. National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP)
A cool fact about Eden Hazard is that he won the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP). This is the apex union of footballers that very critically analyzes the performance of all players. Being nominated by this body is really a great honor and pride for Hazard.

2. Twice Young Player of the Year Award
A very inspiring fact about him is that since the start of his career, Hazard showed great potential and incredible performance. This earned him a very prestigious award of being Young Player of the Year Award twice. Not to forget he is the first non-French player to win the award.
190 appearances for Lille
A very cool fact about him is that his consistently outstanding performance made him the first choice for his team selectors. He made 190 appearances and every time he came onto the field it was a guaranteed entertainment for his fans and biggest threat for the opponent team.
4. Bravo Award
His series of awards doesn’t end here. Very interesting during 2010 – 11 season his marvelous performance earned him the Bravo Award. This award was given to him by an Italian magazine Guerin Sportivo
5. FWA Footballer of the Year & PFA Player’s Player of the Year Award
After coming to Chelsea his performance reached new heights. In the 2014-15 season, he won FWA Footballer of the Year and soon was awarded another prestigious award in the game of football named PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award.
6. It took him three years after his debut to score his first goal
A very fun fact about Eden Hazard is that since his debut he played a number of games but wasn’t able to put up a single goal. It nearly took him three long years to score his first goal in the international career. He was lucky to make his first goal against a soft opponent Kazakhstan in 2011.

7. Both parents were footballers
An interesting childhood fact about Eden Hazard is that his mother, Carine, and father Thierry were both footballers. His father mostly played as a defensive midfielder in Belgian Second Division whereas his mother was a striker in Belgian Women’s First Division. They became sports teacher after playing football.
