Tottenham striker Harry Kane is eager to retain the England captaincy.
Kane is tipped to be the next long-term skipper after Wayne Rooney quit Three Lions football.
He was captain against Scotland and France earlier this year.
And when asked if he is ready for it again, he insisted: “Yes. I've had had the armband and it was a very proud moment.
“Whoever Gareth picks as captain, the team will get behind him.
“We have still not qualified and we have to win the game on Thursday — and that makes it easier on Sunday."
