Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was pleased with his side's performance in the goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea was expected to beat Arsenal, who had lost on their previous five visits to Stamford Bridge.
But Wenger men put in a confident performance and had the better chances.
Aaron Ramsey hit the post from 12 yards before Alexandre Lacazette blazed the rebound over the bar.
Arsenal was slated by fans and pundits for their woeful performance in the 4-0 defeat at Liverpool last month.
And Wenger thought their performance against Chelsea was the perfect response.
"It was about mentality and a response from our last away game," Wenger said.
"We could have won it."
